Farming Help?
I have all three campaigns and I'm about to start a farming character from scratch but I would like some help before I start.
Which profession combination should I use?
Where should I farm?
What build should I use?
How much will this area profit?
What should my attribute points be?
What should my equipment be?

I have little doubt this thread will be closed (read the rules) before too long. In the interim, Monk is a safe bet as you can farm pretty much anywhere with it eg Mo/Me, Mo/N, Mo/W, Mo/D, Mo/E are all usable secondaries for 55 Monk farmers. Alternately, try a N/Mo, Rt/Mo, E/A, W/Rt.
Most farming builds will be based on Monk protection skills and the damage elites Shield of Judgment, Spoil Victor, Spiteful Spirit, Vengeful Was Khanhei and Sliver Armor.
There's a million and one builds in the sub-forums or on www.pvxwiki.com. Pick a profession and find yourself a build. And use www.guildwiki.org to work out what and where to farm.
You sound like a big boy so do some of the legwork yourself.

Either Monk or Ritualist is the best farmers over all right now. Personally I love Ritualist over Monks any day for farming. Only thing monks are good for, is they can farm places with knockdowns and interruptions. But there isn't many places like that. I've made some Ritualist builds for farming many places in Hard Mode or NM, and farm them faster than monks can.
Check out my builds (if you haven't seen them already)
330hp Rt/Mo Vengeful Spirit Bonder: (This is my new one, faster than ever)http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...92#post2959992
105hp Rt/Mo VwK Farming Builds: (safer but slower than 330hp) http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...20#post2899920
Rt/W UW Smite Solo: (Good for farming Smites for Ectos in NM)

You can farm with any profession really, except maybe for Para ( correct me if I'm mistaken), but as stated above, Monk and Rit are the best for starters.

No need to start a character from scratch just for the sake of farming. No need for careful planning either, as secondary professions can be changed in a second and even skills can be acquired easily now that we have the tomes.
So if you already have a monk, elementalist or rit among your chars, take those. If not, take the char you are most comfortable with and study this forum as well as Pvxwiki carefully in order to find a build and location you can handle.
There are basically only two prerequisits for successful farming these days:- You should have beaten each chapter at least once, so that you can use Hard Mode
- The farm char itself ought to be able to map travel to the most popular farm spots, which means
- having played through Prophecies up to Droknar's (no Droks Rush, as that would leave out farmable areas)
- having reached Kurzick/Luxon territories in Factions
- having embarked for Kamadan

I can't believe nobody mentioned my beginners farming sticky in the farming section!
I'm so sad!
Check out my Sticky labeled "Guide to Beginning Farming" in the Farming section.
Any questions will be answered there.
